Dr Sheila Popert has been a Consultant in Palliative Medicine for over 35 years and has a long-standing commitment to holistic, patient-centred care.
Throughout her career, she has witnessed both the strengths and the limitations of conventional treatments, as well as the significant unmet needs of patients living with complex pain, psychological distress and reduced quality of life.
She does not regard medical cannabis as a "cure-all", but as a potentially valuable treatment option that, when used appropriately, can form part of a broader, integrated approach to patient care.
