The medicines in this section include those which are used to help people stop a harmful, problematic habit such as smoking or drinking. They include treatments like acamprosate, used to help people when they are stopping harmful drinking, or smoking cessation medicines like bupropion och nicotine replacement therapy (NRT). Opiate medicines such as buprenorphine och methadone are used to help people stay away from heroin.
