Can I take Indapamide and Vitamin C together?

If you have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, high doses of vitamin C can cause your red blood cells to break down (haemolysis).

Haemochromatosis

Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron from your food. If you have an iron-overload disorder like haemochromatosis, you should avoid high-dose supplements.

Alkohol

Drinking alcohol while taking indapamide can increase the blood-pressure-lowering effect of the medicine. This may make you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or faint, especially when standing up quickly. It is best to keep your alcohol intake within recommended limits and see how the medicine affects you before drinking.

Salt (Sodium)

Eating a diet very high in salt can make indapamide less effective at lowering your blood pressure. Try to avoid adding extra salt to your food.
