This high-protein turkey BLT offers a nutritious twist on the classic British sandwich. By replacing traditional butter or mayonnaise with a vibrant, seasoned avocado spread, you add a layer of creamy texture and healthy fats that perfectly complements the smoky turkey bacon. The addition of fresh lemon juice and a hint of cayenne pepper provides a bright, zesty lift to every bite, making it far more flavourful than your standard shop-bought sandwich.
Ideal for a quick weekday lunch or a satisfying post-workout meal, this recipe uses whole-wheat bread to provide slow-release energy. The combination of crisp romaine lettuce, juicy vine-ripened tomatoes, and sharp red onion ensures a refreshing crunch. Serve these sandwiches immediately after toasting for the best contrast between the warm bacon and the cool, zesty avocado.
