Aromatase excess syndrome is a condition characterised by elevated levels of the female sex hormone estrogen in both males and females. Males with aromatase excess syndrome experience breast enlargement (gynecomastia) in late childhood or adolescence. The bones of affected males grow and develop more quickly and stop growing sooner than usual (advanced bone age). As a result males have an early growth spurt, typically during late childhood, with short stature as an adult. Affected females rarely show signs and symptoms of the condition, but they may have increased breast growth (macromastia), irregular menstrual periods, and short stature. The ability to have children (fertility) is usually normal in both males and females with aromatase excess syndrome.

Nefrotiskt syndrom
Nefrotiskt syndrom is a condition where the 'filters' in the kidney become 'leaky' och large amounts of protein leak from the blood into the urine. The main symptom is fluid retention (oedema) which is mainly due to the low protein level in the blood. Various diseases can cause nephrotic syndrome, some more serious than others. The most common.

Benhinneinflammation
The term 'shin splints' refers to pain pain in the lower leg, specifically along the front of the leg between the knee and the ankle - the area known as the shin. The exact cause of shin splints is not certain but they tend to be as a result of overuse and typically occur in runners. Rest is the most important treatment. Shock-absorbent insoles in.

Oral allergy syndrome causes symptoms around the mouth that are triggered by certain foods. It is associated with other conditions caused by plant allergies, such as hay fever and allergy to birch pollen. What is oral allergy syndrome. Cushings syndrom
Cushing's syndrome is caused by too high a level of glucocorticoid in the body. This can be caused by taking steroid medication long-term (the common cause) or by the body making too much cortisol (the main glucocorticoid made by the body). Symptoms usually develop gradually and so the diagnosis (other than that caused by steroid medication) may.

Cervikal revben
About 1 in 100 people are born with an extra rib called a cervical rib. About 1 in 10 people who have a cervical rib develop thoracic outlet syndrome. This happens if the cervical rib squashes the nerves and blood vessels going into the arm. Treatment can include painkillers, physiotherapy and sometimes surgery to relieve the compression caused.
