Nits
Nits are tiny, sticky eggs that are left after a lice hatches. They look similar to dandruff but are more difficult to get rid of.
Head lice
Head lice are tiny bugs that live on your scalp — they are common in children. They can be treated with OTC (over-the-counter) treatment that is usually in the form of a shampoo, and by using a lice comb.
Pubic lice
Pubic lice, sometimes called “crabs,” are tiny bugs that live on coarse body hair and cause itching. They’re usually easy to get rid of with special medicated creams or shampoos that you can get from your doctor.
